This comic series is the popularized version of Philippine National Standard (PNS) on Fresh Fruit – Pineapple – Specification (PNS/BAFPS 09:2004) and PNS on Code of Good Agricultural Practices for Fruits and Vegetables (PNS/BAFS 49:2017). Each issue will discuss a salient provision of the standards. September’s issue tackled the proper fertilizer to be used and its appropriate amount to be applied to ensure good quality of pineapples wile growing. Issue 7: This discusses sunburn, a pineapple damage caused by intense sunlight, and ways to prevent further damage.
