June 24, 2022. To help hog raisers provide safe and quality products to consumers, the -Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS) released the EM l for Philippine National Standards on Good Animal Husbandry Practices (GAHP) for Swine (PNS/BAFS 267: 2019) further elucidating production practices and requirements.
This EM provides further explanation on the provisions of the standards by including additional notes, anecdotal experiences and photographs. It is with the hope that through this publication, hog raisers will be able to overcome challenges in ensuring that the spread of transboundary animal diseases are minimized.
