The Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations shall be designated as the BAFS Regional Coordinator, in addition to their existing functions.
The BAFS Regional Coordinator shall provide overall coordination and supervision of BAFS activities in the region on standards development and research, standards promotion and adoption, and organic agriculture regulations. The BAFS Regional Coordinator shall directly supervise and manage the three (3) BAFS Regional Focal Groups

The Focal Persons for Standards Development and Research coordinate, oversee and supervise activities in coordination with BAFS to support standards development and research in respective regions; collect scientific data; submit proposals for the development or revision of standards based on regional data; conduct laboratory analysis for food safety and quality-related parameters, gather field data; conduct stakeholders' consultation in the development of Philippine National Standards (PNS); and provide technical and administrative support to the bAFS in the performance of its function on standards development and research in respective regions.

The Focal Persons for Standards Promotion and Adoption coordinate, oversee and supervise learning and development activities and field data gathering to support the development of IEC materials, in coordination with BAFS to promote PNS and adopt PNS as regulations by the DA Regulatory Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs); and provide technical and administrative support to BAFS in the performance of its standard promotion and adoption of functions in the respective regions.

The Focal Persons for Organic Agriculture Regulation coordinate, oversee and supervise the monitoring of registered organic operators and post market surveillance of produce and products with organic claim, field compliance assessment of on-going approved efficacy trials, inspection of farms as core Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) groups, enquiry point of registration and accredited processes; handling of appeals and complaints relative to the implementation of organic agriculture regulations, technical and administrative support for the implementation of BAFS accreditation, registration, monitoring and enforcement of organic labelling requirements; and conduct of capability-building activities for RFO personnel and stakeholders regarding organic agriculture regulations and related activities
