BAFS Completed its External Audit with Positive Result

December 1, 2021.  With 1 positive observation and 3 opportunities for improvement, the BAFS’ Quality Management System (QMS) continues to be compliant with ISO 9001:2015 standard. 

Engr. Adorable Aguila of TUV SUD Philippines audited BAFS QMS on November 26, 2021 covering five (5) scopes, on the Development of Philippine National Standards for Agriculture and Fishery; Provision of Official Accreditation to 3rd Party Organic Agriculture Certification Bodies; Registration and Evaluation of Integrated Organic Farms and Organic Inputs; Monitoring of Registered Organic Operators and Promotion of Adopted Standards through the conduct of Seminars.

The Surveillance audit lasted for 10 hours with productive exchange of ideas on the out-spread of BAFS services. Engr. Aguila enumerated her findings and cited how the Bureau satisfied the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standards.

“I was happy because I reviewed your previous audit. I am happy with how well you presented your processes that as a conclusion, issuance of certificate is recommended, congratulations to everyone,” Engr.  Aguila expressed this during the exit meeting.  She further commented that the “Improvement activities are commendable as observed during the audit.” She commended the efforts of the Bureau towards continual improvement such as establishment of Service Quality Innovation (SQI) and continuing professional development (CPD) provider accreditation.

The Bureau received its first ISO certificate from TUV SUD Philippines in  2016 satisfying the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008.  BAFS successfully transitioned to ISO 9001:2015 version in 2018.
