September 10, 2021. The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (DA-BAFS) is officially LIVE on TradeNet.gov.ph after completing the critical onboarding activities required to get into the platform. With the full support and cooperation of the BAFS Coordinating Team, the Certificate of Recognition as tangible proof was issued by the Department of Finance (DOF) last August 31, 2021.
The BAFS onboarding in the TradeNet platform is an opportune time especially during this new normal because it facilitates a system of no face-to-face contact between the applicant and the BAFS registration officers. Registrants can easily apply for their Organic Input Importation/ Exportation Permits at the comfort of their homes or offices by simply logging-in to the system.
Supplemental activities such as stakeholders’ orientation on the TradeNet system will be conducted starting on the 4th quarter of 2021. This aims to fully inform the BAFS registered importers and exporters of organic inputs on the transition mechanics towards the online system of processing these permits.
In the meantime, the BAFS is finalizing the additional guidelines in processing transactions through the TradeNet platform. ###
