June 23, 2021. The Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS), the sole standard-setting agency of the Department of Agriculture (DA), had been registered by the National Book Development Board (NBDB) as a book and e-book publisher. In June 2021, the NBDB granted BAFS its Certificate of Registration No. 2929, which is valid until September 2022.
The Bureau’s commitment to develop and promote agriculture and fishery standards, and enforce organic agriculture regulations had created, promoted, and circulated different publications. BAFS had published various Knowledge Products in different forms such as but not limited to illustrative guides, manuals, comics, technical bulletin, and posters.
The main goal of the knowledge products is to disseminate information and encourage a common understanding of the provisions of Philippine National Standards, Organic Agriculture regulations, and specific food safety issues related to agriculture and fishery settings.
