The DA-BAFS Compliance Assistance Team, supported by the representatives from DA-RFO VI and ATI-RTC VI, served as resource person during the Training of Trainers on Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) - Batch 1 in Brgy. Bita-og, New Lucena, Iloilo on April 15 to 19.
The primary objective of the activity is to capacitate the local farmer groups from 5 identified municipalities in the provinces of Negros Occidental and Iloilo on the formation of PGS Groups as Organic Certifying Bodies. The training is conducted to empower local groups in venturing into the organic certification process and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in the region. ###
