The Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS), one of the science-based led Bureau is the sole standard-setting agency of the Department of Agriculture (DA), proudly shares its Primer to inform the public and key stakeholders of the Bureau’s mandates, overall direction, as encapsulated in its mission and vision and its accomplishments.
The BAFS Primer highlights the Bureau’s mission to develop and promote agricultural and fishery standards, as well as to enforce organic agriculture regulations while ensuring consumer’s safety and product quality, and contributing to environmental protection, worker’s welfare, and increased market access.
