The DA-BAFS Assessment Team conducted an audit at a core PGS Group in Bago City, Negros Occidental from March 5 to 7, 2024. The audit aimed to verify the core PGS Group's adherence to the PGS Organic Certification Scheme. With a keen focus on the peer review and certification process, and management systems, the audit sought to ensure the group's compliance with the regulations for the accreditation of PGS groups.
Assisting in the audit process were representatives from the DA-RFO Western Visayas. Moreover, observers from the Provincial Agriculture Office of Negros Occidental and LGU of Bago City were present. This collective endeavor exemplifies a concerted commitment towards upholding the principles of organic agriculture and fostering trust within the farming community and beyond. ###
