The DA-BAFS Assessment Team conducted an audit of a core PGS Group situated in the Municipality of Sto. Niño, South Cotabato. This audit was conducted from February 20 to 22, 2024, as part of the group's application process to become an accredited organic certifying body (OCB) with BAFS. The primary objective was to determine if the group complied with the necessary accreditation guidelines and to evaluate their ability to conduct organic agriculture inspection and certification effectively.
Support for this activity was provided by the DA Regional Field Office and the ATI Regional Training Center in SOCCSKSARGEN. Furthermore, representatives from both the Provincial and Municipal Local Government Units (LGUs) attended the audit to observe the process.
