The Standards Development Division (SDD) of DA-BAFS, in collaboration with the DA-Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), conducted a hybrid initial Stakeholder Consultation on the draft Philippine National Standard (PNS) on Young Coconut — Code of Practice (COP) — Code of Hygienic Practices (COHP). The consultation was held at the DA-PCA Coconut Enterprise Development Center (CEDC) in Davao City, as well as online via Google Meet on June 20, 2024.
The consultation aimed to gather relevant scientific and technical information and recommendations from various stakeholders, including representatives from the government, academe and research institutions, Civil Society Organizations, and private sector organizations. The gathered suggestions and comments will be taken into consideration during the succeeding Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings.
