The DA-BAFS Compliance Assessment Team visited the locations of ongoing efficacy trials with approved Experimental Use Permits (EUPs) on September 26, 2024, in New Visayas and Bobongon, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte to verify the continued compliance of the ongoing efficacy trials with the approved protocol.
Efficacy trials are conducted to assess the product’s efficacy against flower thrips of Cavendish Banana. The conduct of an efficacy trial through an EUP is a prerequisite for the registration of Organic Bio-control Agents (OBCA) products.
