We have Developed a total of
381 Philippine National Standard (PNS)
from 2003 to 2024!
The Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS) of the Department of Agriculture is mandated to develop and promote standards to ensure food safety, quality, worker’s health and welfare, environmental management, and global competitiveness of Philippine agriculture and fishery products.
8 PNS Approved for the 1st Semester of CY 2024
The Standards Development Division (SDD) of the DA-BAFS, together with the respective Technical Working Groups (TWG), has developed 8 Philippine National Standards (PNS) for the 1st Semester of CY 2024:
1. Young Coconut — Product Standard — Grading and Classification
2. After-Sales Service — Guidelines
3. Live and Raw Bivalve Molluscs — Code of Practice (COP)
4. Fresh Chilled and Fresh Frozen Scallop Products — COP
5. Fresh Chilled and Fresh Frozen Scallop Products — Product Standard
6. Mangoes — Product Standard — Grading and Classification
7. Chives — Product Standard — Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) of Pesticides
8. Sweet and Chili Peppers — Product Standard — Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) of Pesticides
These include four PNS related to crops, three PNS related to fisheries, and one PNS related to agricultural and fishery (AF) machinery.
