The DA-BAFS Assessment Team conducted a surveillance audit of the Aklan Provincial Organic Producers Association (APOPA), an accredited Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) group, from October 2-4, 2024. The surveillance aimed to verify the group’s continued compliance with accreditation requirements, ensuring APOPA’s certification services for organic agriculture remain consistent, competent, and impartial.The conduct of the audit was supported by the DA Regional Field Office and the DA-Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center in Western Visayas, along with the Provincial and Municipal Local Government Units. Their assistance was integral to the smooth conduct of the surveillance, reinforcing the shared commitment to maintaining high standards in organic agriculture certification.
