The DA-BAFS successfully chaired the ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐˜๐—ต ๐—”๐—ฆ๐—˜๐—”๐—ก ๐—ง๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ธ ๐—™๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—”๐—ฆ๐—˜๐—”๐—ก ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐˜€ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—›๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐—น๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ข๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—™๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฑ ๐—–๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐˜€ (๐—ง๐—™-๐— ๐—”๐—ฆ๐—›๐—ฃ). Held in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR, from June 11-12, 2025, the meeting brought together delegates from across Southeast Asia, with Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam attending in person, and Indonesia and Singapore participating virtually. Notably, Timor-Leste joined the discussions for the first time as an observer.

The Philippine delegation led the proceedings, with ๐——๐—ฟ. ๐—”๐—น๐—ฝ๐—ต๐—ฎ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜‚๐˜‡๐—ฎ serving as Chair of the TF-MASHP. ๐—๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฎ ๐—”๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—น acted as the TF-MASHP Secretariat, while ๐—ž๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—น ๐—”๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—”๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ผ, ๐—ฅ๐—ก๐—— headed the Philippine contingent.

During the productive two-day session, the Task Force finalized the ASEAN Standards for Carrots and Passion Fruits. Discussions also progressed on the draft standards for Lemons and Figs. Demonstrating its commitment to regional harmonization, the Philippines pledged to lead the review of ASEAN Standards for Mango and Papaya, with their finalization targeted for Calendar Year 2028.

The DA-BAFS affirms its continued commitment to the TF-MASHP as its permanent Chair and to further harmonizing Philippine National Standards (PNS) with ASEAN Standards.
