The DA-BAFS assessment team conducted a field compliance assessment (FCA) of ongoing efficacy trials on September 18, 2024, in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. The FCA aims to verify the continued compliance of the trial implementation with an approved Experimental Use Permit (EUP).
The trial is conducted to verify the efficacy of the product against the major insect pest of rice during the wet cropping season.
The conduct of efficacy trials through an EUP is a pre-requisite for the registration of an Organic Bio-Control Agent (OBCA) and to determine the product’s recommended rates for a specific target pest/s.
