The DA-BAFS Assessment Team conducted an office-based assessment and witness audit of a core Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) group based in Santa Maria, Isabela from September 24-26, 2024. The audit aimed to assess the group’s compliance with accreditation regulations, ensuring the integrity, competence, and impartiality of their organic agriculture certification processes. The assessment was carried out with support from the Local Government Unit of Santa Maria, alongside assistance from the DA Regional Field Office II (Organic Agriculture Program and Regulatory Division) and the DA-Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center II. Their collective efforts played a vital role in ensuring a thorough and successful evaluation of the PGS group. The DA-BAFS assessment team conducted a field compliance assessment (FCA) of ongoing efficacy trials on September 18, 2024, in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.
