DA-BAFS Conducts 1st Surveillance of POFA Municipal PGS Group in Quezon, Palawan
The DA-BAFS carried out the first surveillance assessment of the Palawan Organic Farmers Association (POFA) Municipal PGS Group on July 22–24, 2025. The activity aimed to verify the group’s continued compliance with accreditation requirements as an Organic Certifying Body (OCB). The assessment included an office-based review of the group’s documents and records, and witnessing of peer review activities to evaluate whether the group remains competent, impartial, and consistent in following its approved Manual of Operations. While the team noted that the group still needs to strengthen its implementation of the Manual of Operations, POFA was commended for its resourcefulness in fulfilling its functions despite limited resources. The activity was supported by technical personnel from DA-MIMAROPA and representatives from the Municipal Government of Quezon, who were present to provide assistance and encouragement to the group.#OAmonitoring #PGSforO #OrganicAgriculture #BAFSonthemove #DABAFS DA-BAFS Conducts 1st Surveillance of POFA Municipal PGS Group in Quezon, Palawan July 26, 2025 Monitoring of Sons of the Living God United Multi-Sectoral Farmers Association (SOULS-FA) July 25, 2025 Second Surveillance of Catubig Organic Farmers Association July 22, 2025 DA-BAFS Conducts Surveillance Assessment of Tubugan Vegetable Producer Assosciation (TVPA) PGS Core Group July 15, 2025 DA-BAFS Conduct Surveillance and Scope Expression Assessment of Aborlan PGS Group Aborlan, Palawan July 14, 2025 20th ASEAN Task Force Meeting on ASEAN Standards for Horticultural Produce and Other Crops (TF-MASHP) July 10, 2025 Investing in Well-being: A Pillar for Productive Public Service July 10, 2025 Field Data Gathering for the Development of Explanatory Manual for PNS Organic Poultry- Code of Practice July 9, 2025 Other Post
