Choose quality chicken meat that meets the standard

May 11, 2022. To help the consumers in assessing the quality of chicken meat in the market, the BAFS released a poster highlighting the minimum requirements for chickencarcass grading per the Philippine National Standards on Animal Carcass-Chicken Grading (PNS/BAFS 314:2021). The poster presents both the grading of chicken carcasses and the defects typically seen on carcasses.

Because chicken is one of the most popularly consumed meats in the Philippines andconsumers normally base the quality of meat on its physical appearance, this infographic provides the consumers with a simple and easy-to-understand visual representation of the PNS.
