The DA-BAFS through Standards Development Division (SDD) participated in the 2025 Productivity Challenge, Paper-Less: 1 Million Sheet of Paper Saved, organized by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP). The SDD managed to save approximately 200,000 sheets of paper through the innovative approach of developing the Philippine National Standards (PNS), where digital platforms are used to conduct meetings and stakeholder consultations, as well as its documentation.

Ms. Ederlie Magdalita of SDD represented BAFS during the culmination of DAP Productivity Challenge held on November 11, 2025 at the Luxent Hotel, Quezon City. The event was attended by various national government agencies and local government units. Several top-performing agencies and institutions were recognized for their outstanding commitment to paper conservation through the use of their respective innovative digital platforms. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) was awarded the champion, while the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government were both recognized as finalists.

The overall goal of the Productivity Challenge is to promote reducing paper consumption, save at least 1 million sheets of paper, through the continuous adoption of innovative tools and digital platforms in public service.
