The DA-BAFS, through the Standards Development Division (SDD), successfully conducted the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Good Animal Husbandry Practices (GAHP)-Expert Working Group (EWG) Workshop on January 22–23, 2026, via online platform Zoom Cloud Meeting, bringing together ASEAN Member States (AMS) to advance efforts on harmonizing GAHP standards across the region.
The two-day workshop focused on the updates of the Strategic Plan of Action of the ASEAN GAHP EWG, the use of the Alignment Assessment Tool, and the review of self-assessment and peer evaluation results. Through active discussions, the AMS shared experiences, challenges, and best practices in conducting harmonization assessments.
This initiative reinforces ASEAN’s commitment to strengthening cooperation, enhancing technical capacity, and promoting aligned standards in the region.
