Gandara, Samar – The Department of Agriculture–Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (DA-BAFS) conducted the third surveillance of ONE-Samar Agro-Organic Practitioners, Inc. (ONE-SAOP) on October 20–23, 2025, to verify the group’s continued compliance with accreditation requirements as an Organic Certifying Body (OCB).
The surveillance included an office-based assessment and witnessing of the group’s peer review to evaluate their competence, impartiality, and consistency in implementing their Manual of Operations. While the group needs further improvement in implementing its Manual and maintaining documented information, the Assessment Team commended ONE-SAOP for its open-mindedness and willingness to learn.
Technical personnel from the DA-Regional Field Office of Eastern Visayas assisted in the conduct of the activity.
