From June to August 2025, the DA-BAFS Technical Services Division organized focus group discussions in Davao City, Iloilo City, Tagaytay City, and Baguio City for a study titledโ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต, ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐จ๐๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ด๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป-๐ฅ๐ฒ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฃ๐ก๐ฆ.โ This initiative, conducted under the mandate of the AFMech Law of 2013, with participants from the 13 DA-Regional Agricultural Engineering Divisions (RAEDs), the Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (BAFE), and the Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center (AMTEC) to gather crucial insights.
The study aims to assess the reach, acceptance, and use of the PNS in guiding regulatory frameworks, such as policies and guidelines, for mechanization practices, technology adoption, and compliance enforcement. Additionally, it seeks to collect evidence-based information to support the enhancement of the DA-BAFSโs standards-related services and products, particularly the development and promotion of the PNS.
