DA-BAFS Achieves PRBABE Compliance, Affirms Commitment to Professional Advancement The DA-BAFS capped off the month of June with a significant milestone after successfully passing the inspection and monitoring conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), through the Professional Regulatory Board of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (PRB ABE). Following a systematic review, the Bureau demonstrated its compliance to the regulatory requirements governing the practice of the agricultural and biosystems engineers (ABEs) by ensuring that the functions and responsibilities of its ABEs are anchored in its legal mandate, advancing the expansion of its professional workforce through proposed plantilla positions, and strengthening institutional mechanisms that support professional excellence and career development among ABEs. With the Bureau’s continued commitment to strengthening its professional workforce, its ABEs play a vital role in upholding its mandate to develop Philippine National Standards (PNS) for Agricultural and Fishery Machinery in support of the advancement of the country’s agri-fisheries mechanization. The activity concluded with the awarding of the Certificate of Compliance to the DA-BAFS. This milestone marked the close of the first semester of CY 2026, reinforcing the shared vision of inter-agency collaboration with the Board. Moreover, the Bureau remains steadfast in safeguarding and championing the “bayaws” by driving initiatives that foster career progression, continuous professional development, and institutional growth. Hon. Sherwin O. Valdez (PRB ABE Chairperson) led the inspection team, together with Ms. Michaela L. Bautista-Alarcon (Commissioner Representative). DA-BAFS Management Team was headed by Ms. Mary Grace R. Mandigma, PFT (Officer-in-Charge, Director), together with officials and personnel from the Standards Development Division (SDD), Technical Services Division (TSD), and Administrative and Finance Services (AFS). #PRBABE#PRC#ABE#BAFS DA-BAFS Achieves PRBABE Compliance, Affirms Commitment to Professional Advancement July 6, 2026 DA-BAFS Health and Wellness Activity Self-Reflection and Teamwork July 3, 2026 Livestock and Aquaculture Philippines 2026 June 29, 2026 DA-BAFS Technical Services Division (TSD) conducted back-to-back writeshops for the development of knowledge products (KP) for bee-related Philippine National Standards (PNS) June 26, 2026 DA-BAFS Sets Standards, Earns Back-to-Back Recognition as Top Performer in PAS 01 June 25, 2026 Seminar on Food Safety-related Philippine National Standards (PNS) for DA Food Safety Regulatory Agencies (FSRAs) June 24, 2026 The DA-BAFS successfully chaired the 21st Meeting of the ASEAN – TF-MASHP June 12, 2026 DA-BAFS, DTI-BPS Join China-ASEAN Training on Modern Agricultural Standards Cooperation. DA-BAFS Health and Wellness Activity Self-Reflection and Teamwork The Department of Agriculture–Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (DA-BAFS) conducted its Health and Wellness Activity on June 26, 2026, at the Penthouse, 9th Floor of the National Food Authority (NFA) Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City. The event brought employees together to reflect on their experiences, recognize one another’s contributions, and strengthen teamwork across the Bureau. Led by Ms. Karen P. Sol, PhDc, RPsy, RPm, CLSC, ICAP II, and her team, the program featured reflective discussions, a Guided Body-Based Relaxation Session, and experiential exercises that encouraged participants to share personal insights, celebrate milestones, and draw lessons to enhance both individual and organizational performance. Among the highlights was the Color Appreciation Activity, where participants exchanged symbolic wrist ribbons representing values such as comfort, stability, kindness, and peace, providing an opportunity to acknowledge the positive qualities they see in one another. The Rope-Giving Activity likewise served as a meaningful reminder of the trust, unity, and shared responsibility that bind every member of DA-BAFS. As participants held a single rope connecting the group, they reflected on how each individual, despite having different roles and responsibilities, contributes to the Bureau’s shared mission of delivering quality standards and services for the agriculture and fisheries sector. The activity reaffirmed DA-BAFS’ commitment to fostering a workplace culture anchored on collaboration, appreciation, employee well-being, and continuous growth. #BAFS DA-BAFS Health and Wellness Activity Self-Reflection and Teamwork July 6, 2026 Livestock and Aquaculture Philippines 2026 June 29, 2026 DA-BAFS Technical Services Division (TSD) conducted back-to-back writeshops for the development of knowledge products (KP) for bee-related Philippine National Standards (PNS) June 26, 2026 DA-BAFS Sets Standards, Earns Back-to-Back Recognition as Top Performer in PAS 01 June 25, 2026 Seminar on Food Safety-related Philippine National Standards (PNS) for DA Food Safety Regulatory Agencies (FSRAs) June 24, 2026 The DA-BAFS successfully chaired the 21st Meeting of the ASEAN – TF-MASHP June 12, 2026 DA-BAFS, DTI-BPS Join China-ASEAN Training on Modern Agricultural Standards Cooperation.
