ADVISORY ON UNCERTIFIED AND UNREGISTERED BIO-CONTROL AGENT AND SOIL AMENDMENT PRODUCTS WITH ‘ORGANIC’ CLAIM

ADVISORY ON UNCERTIFIED AND UNREGISTERED BIO-CONTROL AGENT AND SOIL AMENDMENT PRODUCTS WITH ‘ORGANIC’ CLAIM The DA-BAFS warns the public of the bio-control agent and soil amendment products being sold and labeled as ‘organic’ through Lazada Philippines that are NOT CERTIFIED ORGANIC by any of the DA-BAFS-accredited Organic Certifying Body (OCB). Since these bio-control agent and soil amendment products are not certified “organic” by any of the DA-BAFS-accredited OCB and are not registered with the DA-BAFS, the organic integrity and efficacy of the product cannot be assured. The use of these products may affect the integrity of organic farms and may pose health risks to consumers. We strongly advise the public not to purchase these uncertified and unregistered bio-control agent and soil amendment products. Likewise, the public is requested to check if a product is certified organic by a DA-BAFS-accredited OCB and registered with the DA-BAFS. Field Compliance Assessment of Ongoing Efficacy Trials with Approved Experimental Use Permits

Field Compliance Assessment (FCA) of ongoing efficacy trials with approved Experimental Use Permits (EUPs) Provinces of Nueva Ecija and Pangasinan – The DA-BAFS FCA Team, composed of personnel from the DA-BAFS Registration Section and the DA-RFO III Regulatory Division, conducted an on-site assessment of the ongoing efficacy trials of HealthWellnessLifestyle Inc. on March 12, 2026. This activity was undertaken to ensure that the trials continue to comply with the requirements of the approved Experimental Use Permit (EUP). Efficacy trials conducted under an EUP serve as a prerequisite for the registration of Organic Bio-Control Agent (OBCA) products, helping ensure their effectiveness and compliance with existing regulations. #OAassessment#OAregistration#OrganicAgriculture#BAFSonthemove#DABAFS  Field Compliance Assessment of Ongoing Efficacy Trials with Approved Experimental Use Permits March 13, 2026 DA-BAFS Technical Services Division shares result of the 2025 L&D Analysis March 10, 2026 DA-BAFS Participates in FAO-Spearheaded Fleming Fund AMR Project Exit Meeting March 6, 2026 Philippines Takes the Lead in ASEAN Workshop on Harmonization of National Standards with ASEAN Standards for Horticultural Produce and Other Food Crops March 5, 2026 DA-BAFS Technical Services Division (TSD) Secures PSA Clearance for 2026 AFMech-Related PNS Baseline Assessment Survey March 5, 2026 DA-BAFS Hosted the ASEAN Good Animal Husbandry-Expert Working Group (EWD) Workshop March 5, 2026 ENSURING THE INTEGRITY OF ORGANIC CERTIFICATION January 20, 2026 Monitoring of Registered Organic Soil Amendment (OSA) Product December 13, 2025 Other Post
