DA-BAFS Technical Services Division (TSD) Secures PSA Clearance for 2026 AFMech-Related PNS Baseline Assessment Survey
The DA-BAFS through its Technical Services Division (TSD)-Standards Policy Recommendation Section (SPRS), has officially secured clearance from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Statistical Survey Review and Clearance System (SSRCS) for its survey questionnaire for the 2026 Baseline Assessment of the Reach, Acceptance, and Use of Agricultural and Fisheries Mechanization (AFMech)-related Philippine National Standards (PNS). The issuance of the clearance reflects the Bureau’s commitment to ensuring that its data collection initiatives are conducted in accordance with ethical and legal standards and aligned with the highest principles of statistical practice. The SSRCS is a critical mechanism of the PSA, designed to ensure that all government-sponsored surveys adhere to sound statistical principles, avoid duplication of data collection efforts, and minimize response burden among stakeholders. The approved survey is expected to generate reliable and evidence-based data that will inform policy recommendations and guide improvements in DA-BAFS standards development and promotion activities, particularly in advancing the adoption and utilization of AFMech-related Philippine National Standards (PNS).
